Info
The First Aid Course is the first step towards obtaining a Swiss driving licence. Without this,
the Cantonal Administrative Authority (Road Traffic Authority) will not issue a provisional
driving licence.

First Aid Certificate can be sent, together with the application form ‘Provisional Driving Licence’
and a sight-test certificate from an optician or from an eye specialist from the last two years.
When the request form has been sent, the applicant must go personally to the local council/residents‘
registration office or to the local Road Traffic Authority and show a valid Swiss identity document
with photo /ID/passport or the original of a foreign identity document.
